I really wanted to install the kind of exhaust that would vent to the outside, yet since my kitchen is not set up to allow this, I had no other choice but to seek an alternative. I was told all I needed was a hood which uses a charcoal filter to clean the air. Though this would still keep hot air in the kitchen there was not much choice for me but to use the one that required me to buy extractor fan filters. Though I really do not mind. I did not have anything before and the grease and steam ruined my paint and stained the cabinet previously over top of the stove . This is a much better choice.
